▶How do I convert litres to gallons?
It depends on which gallon: 1 US gallon equals 3.785 litres and 1 UK (imperial) gallon equals 4.546 litres. So 10 US gallons equal 37.85 L, but 10 UK gallons equal 45.46 L. India uses litres, so this conversion mainly matters when reading American or British car mileage and recipes.
