Date Difference

It finds the gap between any two dates in days, weeks, months and years. For example, between 1 January 2026 and 19 June 2026 the gap is 169 days, or about 5 months and 18 days. It works for any dates from the year 1 onwards and handles leap years correctly.

Enter the start and end dates and the tool will show both calendar days and working days, excluding Saturdays and Sundays. So from 1 June 2026 to 30 June 2026 there are 30 calendar days but only 22 working days. Indian public holidays are not removed; subtract those manually if you need to.

Months are unequal in length, so the calculator counts whole months first and then adds remaining days. From 31 January to 28 February it shows 28 days, not 1 month, because February does not have a 31st. This matches how interest, leave and notice periods are usually calculated in Indian workplaces.

Yes, it works for any Gregorian calendar date back to year 1. So you can find the gap between Indian Independence on 15 August 1947 and today, which on 19 June 2026 is about 78 years, 10 months and 4 days, or roughly 28,800 days. Older Hindu or Islamic calendar dates need to be converted first.
